Warren Lake is located within Cape Breton’s Highlands National Park, and it its largest lake.Around the lake, the trail runs just under 3 miles with only a moderate level of difficulty. It’s majestic mountain views and beaches make it a popular hang-out spot for locals. Picnic areas, hiking trails, and swimming allow many families to spend the day exploring the park. A wide trail wraps around the lake allowing views of the highlands. Late at night, the lake has become a hot spot for human teens and more hip fae. Without many park rangers or adult supervision, the lake usually contains some level of underage drinking and bon fires. A large amount of wildlife, such as birds, bears, and moose, call Warren Lake their habitat. The fae make sure that the animals are left unharmed and undisturbed, lest the few hikers that pass by upset the homes of wildlife.
